My interest in health started at a young age.
I was brought up in a family where our diet consisted mainly of traditional boerekos and braai meats. Don’t get me wrong…I do love a good old South African braai…occasionally. And that’s just it, occasionally… because life is about balance. Everything is in moderation.
But, we will get to that later.
My mother is quite the kitchen guru and taught me a lot about cooking and baking. I often experimented with food and enjoyed trying new things. I didn’t want to only eat the food I had been raised on, I wanted to try different dishes from around the world and play with the flavours that were in season.
I noticed that when I ate our family meals continuously; I had less energy, felt lethargic, had mood swings, and my immune system and gut health deteriorated.
And so, I spent many hours researching the benefits of better eating habits and nutrition.
I found a passion! A food-tastic passion. I couldn’t get enough about learning how the body functions and how we can ward off disease and stay healthy through the intake of the right nutrients, vitamins, and minerals.
And because I know, all too well, that the way we live today doesn’t make eating right easy. I became a qualified Nutrition Therapist who has set out to reset the way people look at food. I offer coaching, consultations, custom eating plans, and supplements. I also work with corporates through my NutritionReset wellness talks.
I enjoy people and have a genuine interest in how we all can achieve healthy lifestyles. And have dedicated my life to helping people reset their nutrition dials and uncover how current challenges stem from decisions taken before we could remember and release the patterns that continuously compel us to create or repeat them.
I can help you achieve the best easiest happiest most fulfilling and most extraordinary conscious version of yourself.
I am married with children. My husband is a financial advisor and together we make a great wealth, health team. He shares my passion for healthy eating and exercise and we participate in many outdoor activities on most weekends and love to spoil ourselves with dining out.
Like most parents, we struggle to keep our kids healthy and teach them to eat their fruits and vegetables, and limit junk food as much as possible. Teaching them good eating habits from a young age is vital for their growth, bodies, and minds. We love to all be in the kitchen and baking is a happy family activity in our home. Meal prepping does not always have to be a stressful chore and can be an enjoyable event in your kitchen.
