Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
Grease a 30 x 30 cm baking dish with butter.
Boil the water; salt and Maizena together in a pot. Let it simmer until it thickens. Sprinkle the peanuts at the bottom of the dish.
Add a quarter of the pap on top of the peanuts.
Fry the onion, garlic, bacon, and mushrooms apart until almost cooked.
Then layer some of the onions, mushrooms and bacon. Then a layer of cheese. Then add some cream on top. Repeat the layers and ensure your last layer is pap.
Add a few dots of butter on the top layer.
Bake for 45 minutes until firm and golden brown.
Sprinkle parsley on top and serve warm.
